Gimli: December's Meetup Member of the Month

December’s meetup member of the month is Gimil! If you don’t know Gimil you are surely missing out on his hilarious antics. Here’s your chance to learn more about Gimli.

First, the basics.

Name: Gimli, AKC registered name is My Wee Lad Gimli

Birthday: 6/13/2017

Where do you live? Wayland, MA

Favorite Toy? Squishy Face Studio flirt pole! I go nuts with that thing so humans keep it hidden and only take it out when they can play. Otherwise I just sit there and cry for it. Second place is balls ️ - #ballislife

Breeder or rescue? I do come from a breeder - DM for details.

How can we follow you? Instagram (@wee.gimli), Facebook: Gimli The Boston Terrier, Twitter: @WeeGimli (but have never used it 🤣)

Three Interesting Facts About Yourself

1. I was supposed to be an Italian showdog as I come from a long line of champion showdogs, but I had an undescended testicle . The breeder held on to me waiting for the other one to drop but at 3.5 months old decided that it wasn’t going to happen, and I literally did not have the balls for the showdog life 🤣 and it was time to go to my forever home. My furever family took one look and fell in love with me (I mean, duh! ), called me One Nut and and would have taken me home that day but the breeder needed me to play the part of “playful puppy” in the AKC Breed standard video.  (See second interesting fact!)

2. You can see me in the AKC Breed Standard video at https://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/boston-terrier/  Click Breed Standard, scroll to Features, and I am in the opening shots of the Breed standard video (3rd one). That first shot is of me falling down some stairs but I am much more athletic now!

3. I love getting dirty, wet, stinky, muddy, sandy...I think you get the idea! I have a super sniffer and can smell a dead fish (favorite snack) from 100 yards away! I will dunk my whole face into a muddy swamp. I love swimming and then rolling in the sand to get maximum stickage. This does not work well for my clean freak Momager, so I have learned to live with very frequent baths ☹️
